Standards Based Grading
FISW G6-8 uses standard based grading. Students recieve unit reports for every unit they complete.
They will be awarded one summary grade for each unit:
Beginning Expectations| Developing Expectations| Meeting Expectations | Exceeding Expectations
Feedback on Assessment
Students should receive feedback on all assessments they complete.
Resubmission
Students could be provided an opportunity to resubmit and improve all assessments, what this looks like will depend on the subject and assessments themselves.
Beginning Expectations
Any student receiving 'beginning expectations' on an end of unit report will be raised in a meeting of student progress and parents may be contacted if deemed necessary.
